The ORTRONICS HDFP-MPA96LA is an MPO fiber patch panel engineered for high-density structured cabling installations. It accommodates 8 MPO connectors and supports a total of 96 fiber connections, making it suited for backbone and data center trunk cable management. The panel supports both OM3 and OM4 multimode fiber and is configured as a Type A polarity arrangement. Network infrastructure technicians and low-voltage cabling contractors install this panel to organize and terminate MPO trunk assemblies in rack or enclosure-based fiber distribution systems.
This panel is intended for use in commercial and enterprise data center environments where high port density and organized fiber routing are required. It fits standard rack-mount enclosures and is appropriate for 40G and 100G multimode backbone applications using MPO trunk cables. The Type A polarity configuration must be matched to the corresponding cable and transceiver polarity scheme at both ends of the link to ensure correct signal continuity.
Designed as an OEM-style panel for use with standard MPO trunk cables and compatible rack-mount fiber enclosures supporting OM3 or OM4 multimode fiber infrastructure.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage cabling technician familiar with MPO polarity standards and structured cabling codes such as ANSI/TIA-568. Verify the polarity scheme of all MPO trunk cables before terminating to ensure Type A alignment end to end. Power down any active transceivers in adjacent equipment before handling fiber connections to avoid eye hazard from infrared laser sources. Follow rack-mount enclosure manufacturer guidelines for panel seating and cable management.
