The OREGON TOOL M72 is a narrow kerf chainsaw chain designed for efficient cutting with less power draw from the saw. Built on the SpeedCut system, this 18-inch chain features Micro-Chisel cutters with small-radius working corners that reduce vibration during operation. The M72 uses OCS-01 steel construction with blued cutters for corrosion resistance. LubriTec technology helps keep the chain and guide bar lubricated, reducing friction and extending service life. Expanded top-plate filing indicators and depth gauge filing indicators support accurate field sharpening. This chain is intended for installation by qualified saw operators and outdoor power equipment technicians.

The M72 is suited for saws up to 55 cc, making it appropriate for residential and light commercial cutting applications. The narrow kerf design reduces the amount of material removed per pass, which lowers the power demand on the saw and improves cutting efficiency in firewood, land clearing, and general-purpose chainsaw work. This chain is designed to be used with SpeedCut or Micro-Lite guide bars only. Pairing with other bar types is not recommended by the manufacturer.
