The ORBIT INDUSTRIES GBLL-125-10 is an insulated ground bushing with a universal lay-in lug, designed to terminate service conduit to an enclosure or cabinet using a locknut. The lay-in lug accommodates wire ranging from 14 AWG through 1/0 AWG, making it suitable for bonding jumper connections to a neutral busbar. A molded plastic liner runs the interior of the bushing to protect wire insulation from abrasion at the conduit entry point. The bushing is rated for 105 degrees C continuous operation, meeting the thermal demands of service-entrance and distribution applications. Licensed electricians and journeymen installers typically handle this fitting during panel termination and service conduit work.
The GBLL-125-10 fits 1-1/4 inch trade size conduit and is commonly installed where a grounding bushing with bonding capability is required at the point where metallic conduit enters a load center, panelboard, or service cabinet. It is suited for residential and light commercial service-entrance conduit terminations where NEC requirements call for an insulated grounding bushing and a bonding jumper path to the neutral or ground busbar. The lay-in lug style speeds up termination compared to set-screw-style lugs.
Designed for use with 1-1/4 inch trade size metallic conduit terminations at enclosures, panelboards, and service cabinets where an insulated grounding bushing with a bonding lug is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize and lock out the service before working at the panel or service enclosure. Thread the bushing onto the conduit end and secure with a locknut before seating the bonding jumper in the lay-in lug. Verify that lug torque is applied per the enclosure or lug manufacturer specifications, which should be marked on the equipment.
