The ORBIT INDUSTRIES EEL45-400 is a 45-degree EMT conduit elbow sized for 4-inch trade size electrical metallic tubing systems. Manufactured from prime EMT conduit stock in compliance with ANSI C80.3 and UL 797, this elbow provides a reliable directional change in conduit runs. The interior and exterior surfaces are free from defects and feature a smooth welded seam. Hot-dip galvanizing applies a thorough, even zinc coating to both surfaces, providing corrosion resistance suited for demanding installation environments. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting as part of raceway systems in commercial and industrial applications.
This 45-degree elbow is used wherever a conduit run requires a mid-angle direction change without the sharper bend of a 90-degree fitting. The 4-inch trade size accommodates larger-diameter EMT conduit runs common in commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and infrastructure projects. It connects standard EMT conduit sections to redirect routing around structural obstacles, through walls, or along ceiling and floor transitions. Typical installations include branch circuit raceways, service entrance conduit runs, and large feeder systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for 4-inch trade size EMT conduit raceway systems installed per NEC requirements.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the affected raceway before beginning conduit work. Use appropriate EMT couplings and connectors rated for the same trade size when joining this elbow to conduit sections. Avoid over-bending or mechanical deformation of the fitting during installation, as this can compromise the galvanized coating and conduit integrity.
