Orbit 54042 Mushroom Bubbler Head Full Flow Irrigation

Product Description

The ORBIT 54042 is a mushroom-style bubbler head designed for low-volume, ground-level irrigation in landscaping and grounds maintenance applications. It delivers adjustable water flow ranging from a light trickle up to full flow, making it well-suited for watering flowers, shrubs, and trees without causing erosion or runoff around the root zone. The inlet is a 0.5 inch female threaded connection, allowing straightforward installation onto standard drip or bubbler distribution lines. A built-in filter screens out debris to help prevent nozzle clogging, extending service intervals. The head is constructed of durable plastic suited for outdoor use.

This bubbler head is intended for residential and light commercial landscape irrigation systems where targeted, low-volume water delivery is needed at the base of individual plants or small planting areas. It fits into drip irrigation zones, tree bubbler rings, and shrub bed layouts where spray heads would cause overspray or misting loss. Irrigation technicians and landscape contractors typically install these as part of a zoned drip or low-flow system fed by a pressure-regulated supply line.

Installation Notes

Installation is typically performed by licensed irrigation technicians or landscape contractors familiar with low-volume drip system design. Shut off the irrigation supply valve and relieve line pressure before threading in the bubbler head. Hand-tighten to the threaded riser or barbed adapter fitting, then verify there are no leaks before backfilling or covering. Consult local plumbing and irrigation codes for required pressure regulation upstream of bubbler zones.
