Orbit 53365 Pvc Swivel Adapter 0.5in Mnpt X 0.75in Fht

Product Description

The ORBIT IRRIGATION PRODUCTS INC 53365 is a PVC swivel adapter designed to connect a 0.5-inch male NPT (MNPT) threaded fitting to a 0.75-inch female hose thread (FHT) outlet. The swivel design allows the hose connection to rotate freely, reducing stress on the threads and preventing hose kinking at the connection point. This lightweight fitting weighs just 0.07 pounds and is constructed from PVC, making it resistant to corrosion and suitable for standard residential and light commercial irrigation use. It is commonly installed by irrigation technicians, landscapers, and experienced DIYers working on drip or spray irrigation systems.

The 53365 swivel adapter is used in outdoor irrigation and watering systems where a threaded pipe outlet must transition to a garden hose-threaded connection. Typical applications include connecting a hose bib or threaded riser to a garden hose or soaker hose assembly. It fits within the broader category of grounds maintenance and landscaping hardware, making it appropriate for residential lawn systems, commercial turf irrigation, and drip irrigation headers that require a hose-thread output.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by irrigation technicians or qualified landscaping professionals. Shut off the water supply at the source before making or breaking any threaded connections. Apply thread sealant tape to the MNPT threads before installation to ensure a leak-free seal. Hand-tighten the FHT swivel connection to avoid cracking the PVC body from over-torquing.
