The ORBIT 37682 is a 1-inch diameter polyethylene pipe supplied in a 100-foot coil, designed specifically for use in residential and commercial irrigation and sprinkler systems. This flexible poly pipe is the compatible supply line for Blu-Lock push-to-connect fitting systems, which use stainless steel teeth and a special O-ring to create a rotatable, watertight seal without adhesives or clamps. Joints can be pressurized immediately after assembly with no cure time required, reducing installation time on the job. The pipe is rated for valve-out connections and is not intended for constant-pressure mainline applications.
This pipe is used in underground lawn sprinkler and drip irrigation systems where zone-level lateral runs connect from a control valve to sprinkler heads or emitters. The Blu-Lock system it is paired with allows fittings to be removed and reused, making it well suited for installations that may require future reconfiguration. Built-in removal capability is included for 1/2-inch fittings, with an optional tool available for 3/4-inch and 1-inch fittings. This pipe is appropriate for valve-out segments only. For constant-pressure mainline runs using Schedule 40 PVC pipe, use the PVC-Lock fitting system instead.
Designed for use with the ORBIT Blu-Lock push-to-connect fitting system in valve-out sprinkler and irrigation applications. For Schedule 40 PVC pipe in constant-pressure applications, use the PVC-Lock fitting system rather than Blu-Lock fittings with this pipe.
Installation is typically performed by licensed irrigators or plumbing contractors following applicable local codes. Shut off the irrigation water supply and depressurize the zone before making or breaking any connections. Ensure pipe ends are cut cleanly and squarely before inserting into Blu-Lock fittings to achieve a proper seal. This pipe is approved for valve-out lateral use only and must not be substituted for mainline constant-pressure piping.
