The ONSRUD 70-168 is a carbide-tipped slitting and slotting saw designed for precision cutting in plastic and composite materials. With a 4-inch blade diameter and a 0.095-inch kerf thickness, this saw delivers clean, accurate slots and cuts in applications where tight tolerances matter. The 20-tooth configuration and right-hand cutting direction support fast feed rates while maintaining cut quality. Arbor-mount connection keeps setup straightforward on standard slitting arbors. The bright, uncoated finish is suitable for general-purpose use across the supported material range.
This saw is intended for use on cast acrylic, melamine, nylon, PVC, and vinyl - hard non-metallic materials commonly encountered in fabrication, sign-making, and plastics machining environments. The negative 5-degree rake angle is suited to hard plastic materials, reducing chipping and edge tearout during slotting passes. Machinists and fabricators working with CNC routers, milling machines, or manual mills will find the arbor connection compatible with standard slitting setups.
Designed for use on cast acrylic, melamine, nylon, PVC, and vinyl workpieces. Mounts via standard arbor connection compatible with slitting arbor setups on CNC and manual milling equipment.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with slitting saw arbor assemblies. Power down and lock out the machine before mounting or removing the blade. Confirm arbor diameter and spacer configuration match the blade bore before tightening. Follow the machine manufacturer's speed and feed recommendations for the specific workpiece material.
