The ONSRUD 67-819 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for precision drilling in composite materials. With a 5/16 inch (0.3125 inch) diameter and a 118-degree, 8-facet point geometry, this bit delivers clean entry and reduced thrust in demanding trade and industrial applications. The bright uncoated finish suits composite workpieces where coating adhesion or contamination is a concern. At 3.75 inches overall length with a 2.375-inch flute length, it fits standard drill chucks and CNC spindles alike. Web-thinning reduces cutting resistance and improves chip evacuation through the 2-flute spiral configuration.
This drill bit is rated for general-purpose drilling with a primary focus on composite materials, indicated by the workpiece material code O in the 67-800 series. It is suited for use in fabrication shops, aerospace component work, and trade environments where composites such as fiberglass, carbon fiber laminates, or reinforced plastics are routinely drilled. The straight-cylindrical shank accommodates standard keyless and keyed chucks. Right-hand cut direction is standard for conventional drill press and CNC router spindle rotation. No coolant-through capability means this bit is best applied with external coolant or dry drilling as the application allows.
Part of the ONSRUD 67-800 series, designed for general-purpose drilling in composite materials with a diameter range of 0.3000 to 0.3500 inch. Fits any drill press, hand drill, or CNC spindle accepting a 5/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank.
This bit is installed by machinists, CNC operators, and skilled tradespeople working with composite substrates. Secure the shank fully in the chuck to the recommended grip depth before operation. When drilling composites, use appropriate RPM and feed rates for the specific material to prevent delamination or heat buildup. No coolant-through channel is present, so apply external coolant or dry-drill per your shop procedure.
