The ONSRUD 67-811 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for precision drilling in composite materials. It measures 3/16 inches (0.1875 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 2.75 inches and a flute length of 1.625 inches. The 118-degree, 8-facet drill point delivers clean entry geometry suited to the demanding tolerances common in composite fabrication and machining work. A bright, uncoated finish keeps the carbide substrate exposed for maximum hardness at the cutting edge. This bit is installed and used by machinists, CNC operators, and composite fabricators working in production and job-shop environments.
The 67-811 is sized for composite workpiece applications where material delamination and fiber pullout are primary concerns. The 8-facet point geometry and web-thinned construction reduce thrust force at entry, which helps limit damage to composite laminates. The regular spiral flute with a 9xD flute-to-diameter ratio facilitates chip evacuation in through-hole and blind-hole drilling operations. This bit fits standard drill chucks and collet systems that accept a 3/16-inch straight-cylindrical shank. It is part of the ONSRUD Series 67-800 product line.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-purpose drill for applications within the ONSRUD Series 67-800 line, sized for use in any drill chuck or collet accepting a 3/16-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material designation is composite.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians familiar with carbide tooling. Secure the shank fully in the collet or chuck before operation and verify runout is within acceptable limits for the application. Carbide tooling is brittle - avoid side loads, interrupted cuts, or impacts that can cause chipping or fracture. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when setting spindle speed and feed rates for composite drilling.
