The ONSRUD 67-206 is a downcut spiral router bit engineered for precision routing in phenolic materials and similar laminates. Built from solid carbide, it delivers rigidity and edge retention that high-speed routing demands. The bit features a 0.375-inch cutter diameter, a 0.875-inch length of cut, and a 10-degree helix angle with a three-edge router style. The downcut flute geometry pushes chips toward the workpiece surface, reducing delamination and fraying on the top face of the material. Machinists and CNC operators working with composite sheet goods, printed circuit board substrates, and phenolic panels rely on this geometry to produce clean upper-surface finishes without additional finishing passes.
The 67-206 is suited for CNC routing applications in industrial, fabrication, and production environments. Its 3/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collets on CNC routers and manual routing setups alike. The 2.125-inch shank length provides adequate engagement in the collet for secure tool holding during aggressive passes. The bit is part of the ONSRUD 67-200 series, which targets non-ferrous, composite, and engineered plastic materials where clean cuts and controlled chip evacuation are priorities. Installation and operation are typically performed by CNC machinists, toolroom technicians, or skilled fabricators.
Designed for use in phenolic materials as specified by the manufacturer. Part of the ONSRUD 67-200 series. Compatible with CNC routers and manual routers equipped with a 3/8-inch collet. Not piloted.
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the bit from the collet. Ensure the shank is fully seated to the recommended engagement depth in the collet before tightening. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, and do not exceed the manufacturer-rated feed and speed parameters for the material being cut.
