The ONSRUD 66-919ALTIN is a solid carbide diamond pattern router bit engineered for CNC machine applications requiring aggressive chip evacuation and extended tool life in composite materials. With a 0.25 inch cutter diameter and a 2.125 inch length of cut, this end mill geometry provides the clearance and stability needed for through-cuts and deep-profile passes. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating reduces heat buildup at the cutting edge, helping maintain edge sharpness during high-speed composite routing. The 4 inch overall length and 1/4 inch shank diameter suit standard CNC collet setups. This bit is installed and operated by CNC machining technicians and composite fabrication professionals.
The 66-919ALTIN is purpose-built for routing composite materials, including fiber-reinforced panels and laminate sheet goods commonly processed on CNC routers in aerospace, signage, marine, and fabrication shop environments. The right-hand cutting direction and end mill tip make it suitable for both peripheral and plunge-style toolpaths. The 1.875 inch shank length provides secure collet engagement across standard 1/4 inch toolholding systems. It belongs to the ONSRUD 66-900 series, a line designed specifically around composite material applications.
Designed for use in CNC machines equipped with a 1/4 inch collet or toolholder. Part of the ONSRUD 66-900 series. Intended for composite material applications.
This bit is installed and operated by trained CNC machining technicians. Before changing tooling, confirm the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state per shop safety protocols. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet to the recommended engagement depth before tightening. Inspect the cutting edge for chipping or coating wear before each production run, and do not operate a damaged tool at speed.
