The ONSRUD 64-026 is a single-edge downcut spiral router bit machined from solid carbide. It carries a 0.25-inch cutter diameter, a 1.25-inch length of cut, and a 3-inch overall length with a 0.25-inch shank diameter and a 1.75-inch shank length. The downcut flute geometry directs chips toward the workpiece surface rather than pulling them upward, which suppresses tearout and produces a cleaner top edge on laminates, veneers, and composites. This bit is intended for CNC router operators and skilled manual-router users working in production and fabrication environments.

The 64-026 is suited for routing aluminum, plastics, solid surfaces, and wood. Installation Notes

Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified CNC operator or machinist with the spindle fully de-energized and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the shank fully into the collet to the recommended engagement depth before torquing the collet nut. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use, as carbide damage is not always visible without magnification. Downcut bits generate downward chip pressure, so workpiece hold-down and fixturing must be adequate to prevent part movement during the cut.
