The ONSRUD 63-775 is a single-edge upcut spiral router bit machined from solid carbide and designed for cutting plastics and engineered thermoplastics. The 0.25-inch cutting diameter, 0.75-inch length of cut, and 21-degree helix angle work together to shear material cleanly and evacuate chips upward out of the cut, reducing heat buildup and improving edge quality. The right-hand cutting direction and single-edge geometry allow faster feed rates in softer materials without loading the flute. This bit is sized with a 0.25-inch shank for use in standard collets on CNC routers and handheld laminate trimmers. It is installed and operated by CNC machinists, tooling technicians, and fabricators working in production and prototyping environments.
This bit is intended for use in plastics fabrication applications. Compatible materials include ABS, Acetal, Acrylic, HDPE, HIPS, PE, PET, Polycarbonate, Polypropylene, Polystyrene, Solid Surfaces, and UHMW. The upcut geometry makes it well-suited for through-cuts and profiling operations where chip evacuation is critical to surface finish. It is commonly used in sign fabrication, point-of-purchase display production, and light industrial plastic sheet processing.
Designed for use in CNC routers and handheld trim routers equipped with a 0.25-inch collet. Rated for cutting ABS, Acetal, Acrylic, HDPE, HIPS, PE, PET, Polycarbonate, Polypropylene, Polystyrene, Solid Surfaces, and UHMW. Part of the ONSRUD 63-750 series.
This bit is installed and serviced by CNC machinists or tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet and tighten to the collet manufacturer's specification before operation. Inspect the cutting edge for chips or wear before each use, as solid carbide is brittle and damage is not always visible to the naked eye.
