The ONSRUD 63-761 is a solid carbide upcut spiral router bit designed for precision cutting in a wide range of plastic and synthetic materials. With a 0.125-inch cutting diameter and a 0.25-inch length of cut, this bit is built for detail work and tight-tolerance routing applications. The single-edge, right-hand upcut geometry pulls chips upward and away from the cut, keeping the work surface clean and reducing heat buildup. At 2 inches overall length with a 0.125-inch shank, it mounts directly into standard 1/8-inch collet systems. Solid carbide construction delivers the hardness and edge retention needed for production routing in plastics.
This bit is engineered for routing thermoplastics and engineered polymers including ABS, acetal, acrylic, HDPE, HIPS, PE, PET, polycarbonate, polypropylene, polystyrene, solid surfaces, and UHMW. It is well-suited for CNC router applications in sign-making, plastic fabrication, and light industrial production environments. The 21-degree helix angle is optimized for clean shearing cuts in these materials without melting or gumming the cutting edge. It is appropriate for both prototype runs and higher-volume production setups where chip evacuation and surface finish quality matter.
Designed for use with CNC routers and manual routing equipment fitted with a 1/8-inch collet. Rated for cutting ABS, acetal, acrylic, HDPE, HIPS, PE, PET, polycarbonate, polypropylene, polystyrene, solid surfaces, and UHMW. Part of the ONSRUD 63-750 series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC operator or machinist with the spindle fully powered down and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Insert the shank fully into the collet and tighten to the router manufacturer's specified torque using the appropriate collet wrench. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production use. Do not exceed the tool's rated depth of cut per pass for the material being processed.
