The ONSRUD 63-751 is a solid carbide upcut spiral router bit designed for precision cutting in plastics and engineered materials. With a 0.0625-inch (1/16-inch) cutter diameter and a 0.25-inch length of cut, this single-edge bit is built for fine-detail routing passes where tight tolerances matter. The upcut flute geometry pulls chips up and out of the cut, reducing heat buildup and improving surface finish. A 21-degree helix angle and right-hand cutting direction make it suitable for controlled material removal in thin-wall and close-tolerance applications. This bit is installed and operated by CNC routing technicians and production machinists.
The 63-751 is suited for routing a wide range of thermoplastics and engineered sheet goods, including ABS, acetal, acrylic, HDPE, HIPS, PE, PET, polycarbonate, polypropylene, polystyrene, solid surfaces, and UHMW. It fits into 1/8-inch shank collets on CNC routers and handheld routing setups. The 2-inch overall length and 1.75-inch shank length provide adequate reach for typical sheet material depths while maintaining rigidity at this small diameter.
Designed for use in CNC routers and routing equipment fitted with 1/8-inch shank collets. Compatible material applications include ABS, acetal, acrylic, HDPE, HIPS, PE, PET, polycarbonate, polypropylene, polystyrene, solid surfaces, and UHMW. Part of the ONSRUD 63-750 series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or routing technician. Ensure the router spindle is fully powered down and locked out before inserting or removing the bit from the collet. Seat the shank fully into the collet and tighten to the router manufacturer's specified torque range for 1/8-inch tooling. At 0.0625-inch diameter, feed rate and spindle speed must be carefully dialed in to avoid bit deflection or breakage - consult the router manufacturer and ONSRUD feed-and-speed data for this series before running production cuts.
