The ONSRUD 63-735 is a single-edge upcut spiral router bit machined from solid carbide and designed for cutting hard plastics and solid surface materials. With a 0.375-inch cutter diameter, a 1.625-inch length of cut, and a right-hand cutting direction, it evacuates chips efficiently by pulling them upward out of the cut. The 21-degree helix angle promotes smooth shearing action in dense thermoplastics and reduces heat buildup at the cutting edge. A 0.375-inch shank diameter fits standard router collets used in CNC routers and handheld routing applications. The uncoated carbide construction delivers consistent edge quality without a coating that can chip or peel under aggressive feed rates.
This bit is suited for routing acrylic, nylon, PVC, polycarbonate, and solid surface panel materials in both production shop and field service environments. The upcut geometry makes it a practical choice for through-cuts and profiling passes where chip clearing is a priority. It is part of the ONSRUD 63-700 series, which targets hard plastic and composite material applications common in fabrication, sign-making, and countertop work. The 3.5-inch overall length provides adequate clearance for fixturing on most CNC router tables.
Designed for use with acrylic, nylon, PVC, polycarbonate, and solid surface materials. Fits any router or CNC spindle accepting a 0.375-inch collet. Part of the ONSRUD 63-700 series.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or fabricators familiar with CNC router tooling. Power down and de-energize the spindle completely before inserting or removing the bit. Seat the shank fully into the collet to the manufacturer-recommended depth and torque the collet nut with the appropriate collet wrench - do not use pliers or makeshift tools. Verify spindle speed and feed rate settings are appropriate for the workpiece material before beginning a cut.
