The ONSRUD 63-733 is a solid carbide upcut spiral router bit designed for precision cutting in hard plastics and similar engineered materials. With a 0.375-inch cutter diameter and a 1.125-inch length of cut, this single-edge bit removes chips efficiently by pulling material upward and out of the cut zone. The upcut flute geometry reduces heat buildup and helps keep the workpiece clear of debris during extended runs. At 3 inches overall length and a 3/8-inch shank diameter, the 63-733 fits standard router collets used throughout the fabrication and sign-making trades. It arrives uncoated, ready to run.
This bit is engineered for cutting hard materials including acrylic, nylon, PVC, polycarbonate, and solid surfaces. It suits production environments where clean edge quality and chip evacuation matter, such as CNC router tables in plastics fabrication shops, sign shops, and custom fabrication facilities. The right-hand cutting direction and 21-degree helix angle are matched to the feed and speed characteristics typical for these thermoplastic materials. Machinists and CNC operators working in light industrial and commercial shops are the primary users of this bit.
Designed for use in CNC routers and handheld routers equipped with a 3/8-inch collet. Material applications include acrylic, nylon, PVC, polycarbonate, and solid surfaces. Part of the ONSRUD 63-700 series.
Install and remove router bits only after the spindle has come to a complete stop and power has been isolated from the machine. Seat the shank fully into the collet and tighten to the router or CNC spindle manufacturer's specified collet torque using the appropriate collet wrenches. Inspect the cutting edges and shank for damage before each use. Verify feed rate and spindle speed settings are appropriate for the specific workpiece material before beginning a cut.
