The ONSRUD 63-717 is a single-edge upcut spiral router bit machined from solid carbide. It carries a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) cutter diameter and a 3/8 inch length of cut, with a 1/4 inch shank diameter and 2 inch overall length. The upcut flute geometry pulls chips up and away from the cut, reducing recutting and helping clear material from the kerf. The 21-degree helix angle and solid carbide construction support consistent performance in hard plastics and engineered surfaces. This bit ships uncoated and is ready for immediate use in CNC router setups.
The 63-717 is designed for routing hard materials including acrylic, nylon, PVC, polycarbonate, and solid surfaces. It is well suited to residential and light commercial fabrication shops running CNC routers for sign work, fixture fabrication, and countertop or panel cutting. The single-edge design allows for higher feed rates in these materials by reducing cutting forces compared to multi-flute configurations.
Designed for use in CNC routers accepting a 1/4 inch collet. Rated for hard material applications including acrylic, nylon, PVC, polycarbonate, and solid surfaces. Part of the ONSRUD 63-700 series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machine operator or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet to the recommended insertion depth and torque the collet nut per the machine manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each run.
