The ONSRUD 63-626 is a single-edge upcut spiral router bit designed for precision milling in aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. Built from solid carbide, it delivers clean chip evacuation and consistent cutting performance in CNC router applications. The upcut geometry pulls chips up and out of the cut, reducing heat buildup and keeping the workpiece surface clear. Key dimensions include a 0.375-inch cutter diameter, 1.125-inch length of cut, and a 3-inch overall length with a 3/8-inch shank diameter. The 22-degree helix angle is optimized for aluminum, making this bit a reliable choice for production-level machining operations.
The 63-626 is intended for use in CNC routers cutting aluminum sheet, plate, and extrusions in both light industrial and production shop environments. Its single-edge design allows for high chip loads per tooth, which is well suited to aluminum where clearing chips quickly is critical to tool life and surface finish. The 1.875-inch shank length provides adequate grip in standard router collets. This bit is typically run by CNC machinists and tool and die professionals working with non-ferrous stock.
Designed for use in CNC routers with a 3/8-inch collet. Material application is aluminum per manufacturer specification. Part of the ONSRUD 63-600 series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the bit from the collet. Ensure the collet and collet nut are clean and free of debris before seating the shank to the specified 1.875-inch shank length. Never exceed the manufacturer-rated feed and speed parameters for the material being cut.
