The ONSRUD 60-325 is a solid carbide spiral upcut chipbreaker router bit designed for high-performance material removal in natural wood and wood composite applications. With a 0.75 inch cutter diameter and a 2.125 inch length of cut, this bit handles deep passes while the chipbreaker geometry reduces chip size and heat buildup at the cutting edge. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation in an upward direction, keeping the flutes clear during operation. Right-hand cutting direction and an uncoated solid carbide construction make this a durable, production-ready tool for woodworking shops and millwork operations.
The 60-325 is suited for routing operations in solid hardwoods, softwoods, MDF, plywood, and other natural wood composites. It fits CNC routers and hand-held router setups that accept a 3/4 inch shank. The 4 inch overall length provides reach for deeper fixtures and thicker workpieces without sacrificing rigidity. This bit is a standard production tool in furniture manufacturing, cabinetry, and panel processing environments where clean upcut chip removal and consistent slot or profile geometry are required.
Designed for use in CNC routers and handheld routing equipment with a 3/4 inch collet or chuck. Suitable material applications include natural wood and wood composites per manufacturer specification. Part of the ONSRUD 60-300 series.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or woodworking technician with the router fully powered down and the spindle locked. Ensure the collet and shank are clean and free of debris before seating the bit to the full shank depth. Confirm that the collet nut is torqued to the router manufacturer's specification before operation. Upcut bits generate upward pulling forces on the workpiece - verify that fixturing and hold-down methods are adequate before beginning a cut.
