The ONSRUD 60-245 is a solid carbide upcut spiral router bit designed for cutting composite plastics, natural wood, plastics, and solid surfaces. It features a 0.375 inch cutter diameter, a 1.125 inch length of cut, and a 3 inch overall length, making it a compact, high-precision tool suited for routing operations that require clean chip evacuation. The upcut flute geometry pulls chips up and out of the cut, reducing heat buildup and improving surface finish at the tool tip. Licensed trades and CNC operators use this bit in production and fabrication environments.
This bit is suited for both shop and production floor use on routers accepting a 3/8 inch shank. It performs across a range of materials including composite plastics, solid surface panels, natural wood, and general plastics. With a three-edge configuration and a 10-degree helix angle, it balances chip load and feed rate in typical routing applications. The 1.875 inch shank length provides stable tool engagement in standard collet chucks.
Designed for use with routers accepting a 3/8 inch shank collet. Suitable for machining composite plastics, natural wood, plastics, and solid surfaces. Part of the ONSRUD 60-200 series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the router powered off and locked out before tool changes. Seat the shank fully into the collet to the recommended engagement depth before torquing the collet nut. Inspect the bit for edge damage or runout before each use. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended feed and speed parameters for the material being cut.
