The ONSRUD 56-122 is a 2-flute, square end, double edge router bit designed for high-performance cutting in a wide range of hard and semi-rigid materials. Built from solid carbide, it delivers the edge retention and rigidity needed for production routing in plastics, composites, and similar engineered materials. The cutter diameter is 3/8 inches with a matching 3/8-inch shank, a length of cut of 7/8 inches (0.875 inches), and an overall length of 2-1/2 inches. The straight flute geometry and right-hand cut make it suitable for clean, consistent edge finishing in sheet and block stock applications. This bit is a non-piloted design installed in CNC and handheld routing equipment.
The ONSRUD 56-122 is suited for shops and field technicians routing hard materials including ABS, acetal, acrylic, fiberglass, foam, nylon, polyvinylchloride (PVC), phenolic, and solid surfaces. It is a practical choice for sign fabricators, plastics fabricators, and composite panel shops running CNC routers, as well as trades professionals trimming or machining sheet goods in commercial and light industrial settings. The double edge configuration increases material removal efficiency and extends service intervals between tool changes.
Designed for use on ABS, acetal, acrylic, fiberglass, foam, nylon, polyvinylchloride, phenolic, and solid surfaces. Part of the ONSRUD 56-000P series. Fits any router accepting a 3/8-inch shank collet.
This router bit should be installed and operated by qualified machinists or trades professionals familiar with rotating cutting tools. Ensure the router is fully powered down and the spindle is locked before inserting or removing the bit. Verify collet size matches the 3/8-inch shank before tightening. Always wear appropriate eye and hearing protection, and confirm feed rate and spindle speed are appropriate for the specific workpiece material before operation.
