The ONSRUD 52-622 is a solid carbide upcut spiral router bit designed for precise cutting in hard and soft plastic materials. With a 0.25-inch cutter diameter and a 0.375-inch length of cut, this double-edge bit removes chips upward and away from the workpiece, helping to keep cutting surfaces clean during operation. The 11-degree helix angle and uncoated solid carbide construction make it well-suited for demanding routing applications where edge quality and tool life matter. It is used by CNC operators, tooling technicians, and fabricators working in production and custom shop environments.
This bit is intended for routing ABS, acetal, acrylic, HDPE, nylon, PE, PET, polycarbonate, solid surfaces, UHMW, and other hard and soft plastics. It fits routers and CNC spindles with a 1/4-inch collet and is a right-hand cutting tool. The 2.5-inch overall length and 2.125-inch shank length provide good reach for standard sheet and panel routing setups. It is part of the ONSRUD 52-600 series, which targets plastic and hard material applications.
Compatible with routers and CNC machines equipped with a 1/4-inch collet. Designed for use in ABS, acetal, acrylic, HDPE, nylon, PE, PET, polycarbonate, solid surfaces, and UHMW applications as part of the ONSRUD 52-600 series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC operator or tooling technician. Ensure the router or spindle is fully powered down and locked out before inserting or removing the bit. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet to the manufacturer-recommended depth before tightening. Follow applicable machine safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE when operating routing equipment.
