The ONSRUD 52-360 is a solid carbide upcut spiral router bit designed for precision material removal in woodworking, plastics fabrication, and composite machining. With a 0.5 inch cutter diameter and a 1.125 inch length of cut, it evacuates chips aggressively upward, keeping the cut path clear and reducing heat buildup at the tool tip. The 30-degree helix angle and double-edge configuration deliver smooth, consistent cuts in a right-hand cutting direction. At 3 inches overall length and 0.26 pounds, it fits standard 1/2 inch collet routers used on CNC routing tables and handheld router setups common in trade shops.
This bit is suited for cutting natural wood, plastics, solid surfaces, and wood composites in both production and custom fabrication environments. The upcut geometry pulls material up and out of the cut, making it well suited for through-cuts and slotting operations where chip evacuation is a priority. The uncoated solid carbide construction delivers consistent edge retention across a range of material densities. The 1.875 inch shank length provides secure clamping engagement in standard collet chucks.
Designed for use with 1/2 inch collet routers. Rated for natural wood, plastics, solid surfaces, and wood composites per manufacturer material application data. Part of the ONSRUD 52-200 series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the router or spindle fully powered down and locked out before tool changes. Insert the shank fully into the collet to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth before torquing the collet nut. Inspect the shank and collet bore for runout or debris before each installation, as contamination can cause premature tool failure or workpiece damage.
