The ONSRUD 37-07 is a solid carbide engraving cutter designed for precise material removal in engraving and detailing applications. It features a conical point geometry with a 60-degree included angle and a 0.03-inch tip diameter, producing sharp, clean lines in a variety of substrates. The uncoated solid carbide construction provides rigidity and edge retention on demanding materials. With a 1/4-inch shank and 2-inch overall length, it mounts in standard CNC routers and engraving machines. This cutter is installed and run by machinists and CNC operators working in sign-making, manufacturing, and fabrication environments.
The 37-07 is suited for engraving aluminum, plastics, solid surface materials, and wood. Its single-flute, right-hand cutting configuration keeps chip evacuation efficient in softer materials and prevents recutting during continuous passes. The conical geometry allows controlled depth-of-cut adjustments to vary line width, making it a practical choice for lettering, decorative engraving, and part marking operations on CNC routing equipment.
Designed for use on aluminum, plastics, solid surfaces, and wood. Part of the ONSRUD 37-00 series of engraving cutters. Fits standard CNC routers and engraving machines accepting a 1/4-inch shank collet.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or operators. Power down and de-energize the spindle before mounting or removing the cutter. Seat the shank fully in the collet and torque the collet nut according to the machine manufacturer's specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts to ensure accurate tip engagement and prevent premature wear.
