The OATEY COMPANY 31017 is a clear, medium-bodied PVC solvent cement formulated for joining PVC pipe and fittings up to 6 inches in diameter. It works across Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 systems and is recommended for use at application temperatures between 40 degrees F and 100 degrees F. The 4 oz container is a standard field size suited for residential and commercial plumbing work. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and irrigation contractors reach for this cement on a wide range of PVC applications, from potable water lines to drain, waste, and vent systems. It meets ASTM D-2564, the standard specification for solvent cements used on PVC plastic pipe and fittings.
This cement is rated for all grades and types of PVC pipe and fittings across multiple piping systems. The clear formulation leaves a low-visibility bead at joints, which is preferred on exposed or finished installations.
