The OATEY 31128 is a medium-body, fast-set CPVC solvent cement formulated for joining CPVC pipe and fittings in both cold and hot water pressure piping systems. This orange cement is low-VOC and designed for solvent welding all schedules and classes of CPVC pipe and fittings up to 6 inches in diameter with interference fit. The in-lid dauber simplifies application and helps control coverage. Its medium body provides excellent gap-filling properties, making it well suited for field conditions where pipe and fitting tolerances may vary. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters rely on this cement for reliable, code-compliant joints in residential and light commercial water systems.
This cement is intended for use on CPVC pressure pipe systems carrying cold water and hot water up to 200 degrees F. It is approved for Corzan CPVC piping systems. Typical applications include domestic hot and cold water supply lines, residential and commercial plumbing rough-in, and retrofit work on existing CPVC systems. Application is suitable within an ambient temperature range of -15 degrees F to 110 degrees F, making it usable across a wide range of job-site conditions.
