The NVENT DCHS2 is a single-sided horizontal cable manager designed for 19-inch rack systems. It occupies 2 rack spaces (2U) and provides organized, high-density routing of Cat 5e, Cat 6, and Cat 6A cabling within data, telecom, and network enclosures. The hinged cover stays open during installation and maintenance, keeping hands free and reducing the risk of accidental closure during wire pulls. Deep cable compartments maximize cable density without forcing tight bend radii, and rounded edges throughout protect cable jackets from abrasion. The snap-in mounting system speeds up installation and eliminates the need for additional hardware beyond the included fasteners.
This cable manager is suited for structured cabling installations in data centers, server rooms, telecom closets, and commercial network enclosures. It is intended for use in standard 19-inch rack or cabinet systems and pairs with compatible vertical cable managers to create a streamlined cable management system. The single-sided design is appropriate for front-of-rack cable routing where rear-access pass-through is not required. Installation is typically performed by low-voltage technicians, network technicians, or structured cabling contractors.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit cable manager for 19-inch rack and cabinet systems requiring 2U horizontal cable routing.
Installation is typically performed by low-voltage or structured cabling technicians following TIA-568 or applicable local cabling standards. Power down any active equipment in adjacent rack positions before routing cables through the manager to avoid accidental disconnection. Use the snap-in mounting tabs and the included 10-32 TPI and 12-24 TPI hardware to secure the unit to the rack rail before dressing cables. Do not exceed the cable fill capacity of the compartment, as overfilling can stress cable jackets and degrade signal performance.
