The NVENT ahci60r is a vapor-phase corrosion inhibitor roll designed to protect electronic and electrical components housed inside sealed or semi-sealed enclosures. Each roll covers up to 60 cubic feet of enclosed volume and is sold in a package of three. The inhibitor releases a chemical vapor that vaporizes and condenses on all interior surfaces, forming a protective barrier without requiring surface preparation, degreasing, or coating removal. This makes it a fast, no-prep solution for panels, junction boxes, and control enclosures in industrial and commercial electrical applications. Rated for use up to 199 degrees F, with a normal service life exceeding one year under standard conditions.
This product is suited for electrical enclosures in industrial, commercial, and infrastructure settings where corrosion risk is elevated — including coastal environments, chemical processing areas, and locations subject to humidity and condensation. It is commonly installed by electricians and panel builders when commissioning new enclosures or during scheduled maintenance. The inhibitor is effective even in salt-water atmospheres. For long or narrow enclosures, multiple inhibitors or tape staging can be used to ensure vapors reach all interior surfaces. Vapors travel a maximum of approximately 1.5 feet, so placement and enclosure geometry should be considered during installation planning.
Designed for use inside sealed or semi-sealed electrical enclosures, control panels, and junction boxes where vapor-phase corrosion protection is required. Suitable for enclosures up to 60 cubic feet per roll; larger or segmented enclosures may require multiple units.
Installation is typically performed by licensed electricians or panel technicians during enclosure commissioning or scheduled maintenance intervals. De-energize the enclosure before opening and placing the inhibitor. Position the roll so vapors can circulate freely to all interior surfaces — note that vapors travel a maximum of approximately 1.5 feet, so multiple inhibitors may be needed for long or narrow enclosures. Store unused rolls at temperatures not exceeding 120 degrees F and keep them in the resealable bag until ready for use.
