The NVENT 812M24 is a spring steel conduit-to-flange clip designed to secure EMT conduit to structural steel elements using a hammer-on, snap-close fastening method. No tools beyond a hammer are required for installation. It accepts 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch EMT conduit and attaches to flanges ranging from 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch thick. The bottom-mount configuration positions the conduit below the flange, making it well suited for overhead structural steel applications where fast, reliable conduit support is needed. Electricians and electrical contractors rely on this clip type to speed up rough-in work on steel-framed commercial and industrial projects.
This clip is used in commercial and industrial electrical installations where conduit runs are supported from wide-flange beams, purlins, or other structural steel members. The bottom-mount design is typical in overhead conduit runs attached beneath steel framing. It is appropriate for 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch EMT in light-duty support applications where a permanent, secure attachment to a flange is required without drilling or threading into the steel.
Designed for use with 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch EMT conduit on structural steel flanges between 1/8 inch and 1/4 inch thick in commercial and industrial electrical installations.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for conduit support spacing and securing methods. Verify flange thickness falls within the 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch range before installation. Position the clip over the flange and drive it home with a hammer until the snap-close fastener seats fully. De-energize any nearby circuits before working in the area to maintain a safe work environment.
