The NORTON 69014192799 is a Type 11A2 superabrasive grinding wheel engineered for precision material removal on hard and brittle workpiece materials. It carries an Armored Synthetic Diamond (ASD) abrasive with a 100 concentration level, bonded in a resinoid matrix rated to specification ASD150-R100B99-1/4. At 150 grit, this wheel falls in the Very Fine grade range, making it the right choice for finish grinding and tight-tolerance surface work. It measures 6 inches in diameter and 1-1/2 inches overall thickness with a 1-1/4-inch hole size. Both wet and dry operation are supported, giving the operator flexibility based on coolant availability and shop setup.
This wheel is suited for tool room, production, and maintenance grinding applications where carbide, ceramic, glass, stone, or other superhard materials are being finished or sharpened. The Type 11A2 cup configuration with a 75-degree face angle is commonly used on surface grinders and cylindrical grinders for face and edge contact work. Power down and lock out the grinder before mounting or removing the wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks or damage before installation and never exceed the maximum RPM rating marked on the wheel. When operating wet, ensure coolant flow is established before contacting the workpiece to prevent thermal shock to the abrasive bond.
