The NORTON 69014191840 is a Type 11V9 cubic boron nitride (CBN) grinding wheel designed for precision tool grinding applications. Built under the Aztec III product line, this wheel uses a resinoid bond with a 75 concentration of CBN abrasive, delivering consistent stock removal on hardened ferrous materials. At 150 grit, it falls in the very fine grade range, making it well-suited for finish grinding operations where tight tolerances and surface quality matter. The wheel supports both wet and dry operation, giving technicians flexibility depending on their setup and the material being worked.
This wheel is intended for use on bench grinders, surface grinders, and tool-and-cutter grinding machines equipped with a compatible spindle. The 1-1/4 inch bore fits standard arbors found in many shop grinding setups. Its 70-degree face angle and 3/8 inch face width suit applications such as sharpening carbide-tipped tools, end mills, and other precision cutting tools. It is typically used by toolroom machinists, maintenance technicians, and trade professionals who require repeatable edge geometry on hardened tooling.
Designed for use on tool-and-cutter grinders and bench grinding machines accepting a 1-1/4 inch arbor bore. Intended as a direct-fit CBN wheel for precision grinding of hardened ferrous tooling per the Aztec III 150T-1/8 specification.
Installation should be performed by a qualified toolroom machinist or maintenance technician familiar with abrasive wheel safety procedures. Power down and lockout the grinder before mounting or removing any wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before installation and perform a ring test per ANSI B7.1 guidelines. Never exceed the maximum operating speed marked on the wheel, and always use the appropriate flanges and blotters as required by the grinder manufacturer.
