The NORTON 69014191837 is a Type 11V9 cubic boron nitride (CBN) grinding wheel designed for precision tool grinding operations. Built on a resinoid bond with a 100 concentration of CBN abrasive, this wheel delivers consistent stock removal and long wheel life on hardened ferrous tooling. At 150 grit (Very Fine grade), it produces a fine finish suited for sharpening cutting tools, drill bits, and similar high-speed steel or carbide-tipped implements. It carries the AZTEC III 150W-1/16 specification designation and supports both wet and dry grinding operation. The 3-3/4 inch diameter and 70-degree face angle make it appropriate for bench grinder and pedestal grinder applications where precision edge geometry is required.
This wheel is intended for professional tool rooms, grinding shops, and maintenance operations where tool sharpening and reconditioning are routine tasks. The Type 11V9 flaring cup profile with a 3/8 inch face width and 1/16 inch superabrasive depth concentrates the CBN layer at the working surface, maximizing abrasive efficiency. Its very fine 150 grit rating makes it well suited for final-pass sharpening and light material removal on hardened steel cutting tools. Both wet and dry operation are supported, giving the technician flexibility based on available coolant equipment.
Designed as an OEM-specification CBN grinding wheel for bench and pedestal grinders accepting a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole and accommodating a 3-3/4 inch diameter Type 11V9 cup wheel.
Installation should be performed by a qualified grinding machine operator or toolroom technician following the machine manufacturer's wheel-mounting procedures. Always power down and lock out the grinder before mounting or removing the wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before mounting and never exceed the maximum RPM rating marked on the wheel or machine. When operating wet, ensure coolant flow is established before the wheel contacts the workpiece to prevent thermal shock to the abrasive bond.
