The NORTON 66623325050 is a TR (Type III) quick-change non-woven abrasive disc from the Bear-Tex Rapid Prep series. Measuring 1-1/2 inches in diameter, it is constructed with Vortex agglomerated aluminum oxide grain bonded to a flexible, high-loft nylon web backing using proprietary Clean Bond resin technology. Rated to 30000 RPM, this disc is engineered for weld blending, surface conditioning, and finishing operations at a Very Fine (500 grit) grade. It is designed for use with TR-compatible Type R attaching systems on die grinders and handheld disc sanders.
This disc is suited for surface preparation and finishing work across a broad range of metals and composite materials in fabrication, maintenance, and repair environments. Typical applications include weld blending and finishing on stainless steel components, deburring brass and copper fittings, and surface conditioning on titanium and super alloys. The flexible nylon web backing allows the disc to conform to contoured surfaces, making it useful for work that requires consistent scratch patterns without aggressive stock removal.
Compatible with TR (Type III) quick-change systems using a Type R attaching button. Designed for use with die grinders and handheld disc sanders. Suitable for work on 300 Series Stainless, 400 Series Stainless, Brass, Bronze, Cast Iron, Copper, Ductile Iron, Fiberglass and Composites, Gray Iron, Hard Carbon Steels, Soft Carbon Steels, Super Alloys, Titanium, and Tool Steels.
Installation is performed by a qualified technician or skilled trade professional. Before mounting, confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the disc maximum RPM rating. Attach the disc to a compatible TR-type quick-change mandrel and ensure the button is fully seated and locked before applying the disc to the workpiece. Always wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves when operating abrasive discs.
