The NORTON 66261170284 is a 7-inch non-woven hook and loop abrasive disc designed for surface conditioning, blending, and finishing applications. Built on a flexible nylon backing with aluminum oxide abrasive, this disc delivers consistent cut and surface scratch patterns across metal, wood, and composite materials. The medium grade abrasive makes it well suited for intermediate finishing work where aggressive material removal is not required but surface refinement is. It mounts via hook and loop attachment for fast disc changes on compatible random orbital and right-angle grinders. No vacuum holes are included. Maximum operating speed is 8500 RPM.
This disc is used in metal fabrication shops, maintenance and repair environments, and finishing operations where a non-woven abrasive is preferred over coated abrasive discs. Non-woven construction conforms to contoured surfaces and resists loading, making it practical for blending welds, removing light oxidation, and preparing surfaces before coating or painting. The flexible nylon backing allows the disc to follow irregular workpiece geometry without gouging or leaving hard lines. It is sold and packaged as a single disc.
Designed for use on hook and loop random orbital sanders and right-angle grinders or sanders accepting 7-inch hook and loop abrasive discs. No vacuum holes, so this disc is intended for use on tools without dust extraction through the pad.
Power down and disconnect the tool from its power source before installing or removing any abrasive disc. Confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the disc maximum rating of 8500 RPM before operation. Inspect the disc and hook and loop backing pad for damage prior to each use. Worn or damaged hook and loop pads reduce disc retention and should be replaced before running the tool.
