The NORTON 66261138673 is a coated quick-change abrasive disc designed for aggressive stock removal, weld blending, and deburring on metal and wood surfaces. Built on a heavy Y-weight polyester backing, this disc delivers rigidity and durability under sustained grinding loads. The zirconia alumina abrasive grain is blended with a self-lubricating treatment that promotes fast cutting, extended disc life, and reduced heat buildup at the work surface. Rated at 20,000 RPM maximum, the disc mounts via a Speed-Lok TR (Type III) quick-change system and is compatible with Type R attaching systems. At 50 grit, it falls in the coarse grade range, suited for rapid material removal rather than finishing passes.
This disc is intended for use with handheld disc sanders in industrial, fabrication, and maintenance applications. It is well matched to metalworking tasks involving stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, and cast iron, as well as fiberglass, composites, and both hard and soft wood materials. The coarse grit makes it a practical choice for weld blending on 300 and 400 series stainless steel, deburring hard carbon steels, and initial stock removal on soft carbon steels and nonferrous metals. It belongs to the R860 series and is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 25 units.
