The NORTON 66261131597 is a 6-inch hook and loop abrasive disc designed for random orbital and disc sanders used in surface preparation, finishing, and material removal tasks. Built on a lightweight B-weight paper backing, this disc carries a coated aluminum oxide abrasive at 150 grit, placing it in the very fine grade category. The hook and loop attachment system allows for fast disc changes without tools. Six vacuum holes are integrated into the disc face to support dust extraction, keeping the work surface visible and reducing airborne particles during sanding operations. Licensed tradespeople in finishing, flooring, and light fabrication trades will find this disc well suited to their workflow.
This disc is intended for use on wood, painted surfaces, and other materials where a very fine finish pass is required before coating or sealing. It is commonly used in residential and light commercial finishing applications, including cabinetry, furniture, drywall feathering, and floor prep. The flexible paper backing conforms modestly to contoured surfaces. The A275 series designation indicates this is a general-purpose production disc appropriate for consistent, repeatable finish work across a variety of substrates.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or stock disc for 6-inch hook and loop random orbital and disc sanders that accept standard 6-hole dust extraction patterns.
Installation is performed by pressing the disc face firmly onto a compatible hook and loop sander pad until the fastening surface is fully engaged. Confirm the sander is powered off and unplugged before attaching or removing discs. Inspect the sander backing pad for worn or damaged hooks prior to use, as a degraded pad will reduce disc retention and cut consistency. Discs should be stored flat and away from moisture to prevent paper backing from warping.
