The NORTON 66261121054 is a 3-inch quick-change abrasive disc from the R860 Series, designed for aggressive stock removal, weld blending, and deburring on metal and wood surfaces. It uses a zirconia alumina abrasive grain at 80 grit (medium-coarse grade), bonded to a heavy Y-weight polyester backing for rigidity and durability under high-load grinding. The disc attaches via a Type R (Speed-Lok TR) quick-change system, rated to 20,000 RPM. A self-lubricating treatment reduces heat buildup during extended grinding passes. Installed by metalworkers, fabricators, and finishing trades using handheld disc sanders.
This disc is suited for surface preparation and material removal across a broad range of substrates. Rated applications include 300 and 400 Series stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, hard and soft carbon steels, fiberglass and composite materials, and hard and soft woods. The rigid backing and coarse grit make it well-matched to weld blending and deburring tasks in fabrication shops and field repair environments. The blue disc color and black button are consistent identifiers within the NORTON R860 line. Each order unit contains 1 disc, with a minimum order quantity of 25 discs.

Installation and disc changes should be performed with the sander powered off and disconnected from its power source. Verify the drive hub is a Type R Speed-Lok TR fitting before mounting. Confirm the spindle RPM does not exceed the 20,000 RPM disc rating before operation. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and replace if the backing or abrasive layer shows delamination or tears.
