The NORTON 66261095015 is a Type S quick-change non-woven abrasive disc from the Bear-Tex Rapid Prep series, designed for surface preparation and finishing work on a wide range of metals and composites. At 3/4 inches in diameter, it mounts to handheld disc sanders using a Type S (SocAtt) attachment system and runs at a maximum rated speed of 40,000 RPM. The disc uses aluminum oxide abrasive grain bonded with Clean Bond resin technology to deliver a smear-free finish and a higher cut rate compared to standard non-woven discs. High-loft nylon fiber construction extends disc life under repeated use. Coarse grit (50) makes this disc appropriate for moderate material removal and surface conditioning tasks.
This disc is suited for surface prep, blending, and light deburring applications on a broad set of substrates including stainless steel (300 and 400 series), brass, bronze, cast iron, copper, ductile iron, fiberglass and composites, gray iron, hard and soft carbon steels, super alloys, titanium, and tool steels. It is typically used by metal fabricators, pipefitters, welders, and maintenance technicians who require a quick-change format for efficient disc swaps during production or field work. The flexible polyester and nylon web backing conforms to contoured surfaces, making it useful in tight or irregular work areas.

Attach the disc to a Type S quick-change mandrel mounted in a handheld disc sander before powering on the tool. Verify the tool's maximum RPM rating does not exceed 40,000 RPM before use. Inspect the disc for tears or damage prior to each use and replace if any defect is found. Follow applicable shop safety standards and always wear appropriate eye and face protection when operating abrasive tools.
