The NORTON 66261058707 is a 2-inch ceramic alumina quick-change abrasive disc from the Blaze F980 series, designed for aggressive material removal on demanding metals. It uses a Type R attachment system and runs at up to 30000 RPM on handheld disc sanders. The 100% ceramic grain continuously fractures during use, exposing fresh, sharp cutting edges throughout the disc life. A resin bond system locks the grain in place, while a self-lubricating grain treatment reduces heat buildup and supports faster cut rates. Coarse grade at 80 grit makes this disc suited for high-speed stock removal, weld blending, and deburring operations.
This disc is engineered for use on 300 series stainless steel, 400 series stainless steel, titanium, and super alloys — materials that generate significant heat and wear through conventional abrasives quickly. It mounts to handheld disc sanders via the Type R quick-change attachment, making disc swaps fast in production and field environments. Fiber backing with a Y-weight rating provides the stiffness needed to sustain cutting pressure without flexing excessively on flat and contoured workpieces. Sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 25 units.
Designed for use on 300 series stainless steel, 400 series stainless steel, titanium, and super alloys. Compatible with handheld disc sanders equipped with a Type R quick-change attachment system.
Mounting and disc changes should be performed with the sander unplugged or the pneumatic line disconnected. Verify the spindle and backing pad accept the Type R attachment before installing. Always confirm the tool RPM rating does not exceed the 30000 RPM maximum disc rating before operation. Inspect the disc for damage or delamination before each use and discard any disc that shows signs of deterioration.
