The NORTON 66261055200 is a convolute deburring wheel designed for edge finishing, deburring, and surface blending on metal workpieces. Built with silicon carbide abrasive at a density grade of 6, this wheel delivers consistent stock removal and surface conditioning in shop environments. It is rated to a maximum of 4,500 RPM, making it compatible with standard bench and pedestal grinder spindle speeds. At 0.75 pounds, the wheel is a manageable single-unit replacement for shops maintaining dedicated finishing stations. Licensed tradespeople and machinist-level technicians are the primary installers and operators of this type of abrasive tooling.
This wheel is suited for use on bench grinders and pedestal grinders in metal fabrication, maintenance, and repair applications. The convolute construction provides a consistent cut throughout the life of the wheel, as opposed to surface-conditioning pads that degrade unevenly. It is appropriate for deburring drilled holes, chamfered edges, and weld spatter removal on steel and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals where a silicon carbide abrasive is compatible with the base material.
Designed for use with bench grinders and pedestal grinders. The 1 inch center hole fits standard arbor configurations common to these machine types.
Deburring and abrasive wheels must be mounted and operated by qualified personnel familiar with abrasive wheel safety standards, including ANSI B7.1 guidelines. Always power down and lock out the grinder before mounting or removing the wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before each use and never exceed the rated maximum RPM stamped on the wheel or listed on its blotter. Use flanges and hardware appropriate for the wheel diameter and arbor size.
