The NORTON 66254497069 is a 3-inch quick-change abrasive disc from the Bear-Tex Rapid Blend series, designed for surface blending, weld finishing, and light material removal on a wide range of metals. The disc uses a non-woven, high-loft nylon fiber construction infused with vortex agglomerated aluminum oxide grain and a proprietary Clean Bond resin system. This combination delivers consistent cut rate and surface finish throughout the life of the disc. Rated to 12,100 RPM, it attaches via a Type S quick-change system for fast swaps in production or field environments. It weighs 0.05 pounds and is sold individually, with a minimum order of 25 units.
This disc is suited for weld blending, deburring, surface conditioning, and finishing operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Compatible machines include handheld disc sanders and straight grinders. The medium grade and non-woven construction make it appropriate for work on stainless steel grades, carbon steels, brass, bronze, copper, cast iron, ductile iron, gray iron, titanium, tool steels, super alloys, and fiberglass or composite materials. It is used in both fabrication shops and field service applications where a consistent, controlled finish is required.
Designed for use with handheld disc sanders and straight grinders equipped with a Type S quick-change interface. Compatible material applications include 300 Series Stainless, 400 Series Stainless, Brass, Bronze, Cast Iron, Copper, Ductile Iron, Fiberglass and Composites, Gray Iron, Hard Carbon Steels, Soft Carbon Steels, Super Alloys, Titanium, and Tool Steels.
Installation and disc changes should be performed with the grinder or sander fully powered off and unplugged or battery removed before handling. Verify the tool spindle speed does not exceed the disc maximum RPM rating before operation. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and discard any disc showing tears, delamination, or distortion. Use of appropriate eye protection, hearing protection, and gloves is standard practice when operating angle grinders and straight grinders.
