The NORTON 66254468388 is a 5-inch quick-change abrasive disc engineered for aggressive material removal on hard metals and exotic alloys. It uses 100% ceramic alumina grain with a micro-fracturing structure that continuously exposes sharp cutting edges during use, maintaining cut rate and reducing heat buildup. The disc runs on a Speed-Lok TS arbor mount for tool-free swaps, keeping downtime low in production and fabrication environments. A heavy fiber backing rated Y-weight provides the rigidity needed for right angle grinders and pistol grip air sanders. A self-lubricating surface treatment further controls heat on sensitive workpieces. Licensed HVAC, welding, and metal fabrication professionals install and use this disc for surface prep, weld blending, and stock removal.
This disc is designed for use on 300 series stainless steel, 400 series stainless steel, super alloys, and titanium — materials that demand a grain tough enough to resist glazing under load. It fits right angle grinders and pistol grip air sanders equipped with Speed-Lok TS compatible hubs. The AVOS hole design promotes airflow across the disc face, reducing heat accumulation during extended grinding passes. The orange fiber-backed disc is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units per order, making it practical for shop and field restocking.
Compatible with right angle grinders and pistol grip air sanders fitted with Speed-Lok TS hubs. Suited for grinding and blending operations on 300 series stainless, 400 series stainless, super alloys, and titanium.
Installation is performed by metalworkers, fabricators, and maintenance trades using Speed-Lok TS compatible grinders. Before changing discs, power down and disconnect the grinder from its air or electrical supply. Inspect the disc for cracks or damage before mounting and never exceed the rated maximum of 13,000 RPM. Wear appropriate PPE including face shield and grinding gloves during operation.
