The NORTON 66253364359 is a Type 5 recessed surface grinding wheel engineered for aggressive stock removal on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built with aluminum oxide abrasive and a vitrified bond, this wheel delivers consistent cut rates and thermal stability under continuous grinding loads. At 14 inches in diameter and 1.5 inches thick with a 5-inch arbor hole, it fits standard surface and cylindrical grinder spindles. The 46-grit, coarse-grade structure and H hardness rating make it well suited for rapid material removal where surface finish is secondary to throughput. Rated at a maximum of 1800 RPM, it carries the internal specification designation 32A46-HVBE.
This wheel is designed for use on surface grinders and cylindrical grinders in production and maintenance shop environments. Material applications include 400 series stainless steel, hard and soft carbon steels, tool steels, aluminum, cast iron, ductile iron, and gray iron. The one-side recessed profile with an 8-inch recess diameter and 0.5-inch recess depth clears the wheel flange and provides access in recessed-hub mounting configurations. It is appropriate for both job shop and industrial grinding operations where high material removal rates are required.

Always power down and lock out the grinder before mounting or dismounting a wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before mounting, and perform a ring test on vitrified wheels prior to use. Never exceed the wheel's maximum rated RPM of 1800; confirm spindle speed before operation.
