The NORTON 66253043891 is a Type 1 surface grinding wheel designed for precision stock removal on surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, and CNC cutting tool machines. It measures 8 inches in diameter, 1/2 inch thick, with a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole. The abrasive is white aluminum oxide (38A series), bonded with a vitrified bond for rigidity and free-cutting action. At 46 grit with H hardness (coarse, soft-to-medium grade), it is well suited for aggressive material removal while maintaining consistent surface finish. Rated to 3,105 RPM maximum. The semi-friable grain self-sharpens under load, extending wheel life between dressings.
