The NORTON 66252941203 is a Type 1 surface grinding wheel engineered for precision stock removal on a range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built with aluminum oxide abrasive and a vitrified bond, this wheel delivers consistent cutting action and shape retention throughout the grind. It measures 7 inches in diameter, 1/2 inch thick, with a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole, and is rated to a maximum of 3600 RPM. The 46-grit, F-hardness (coarse grade) construction is suited for aggressive material removal where surface finish is secondary to throughput. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and surface grinder operators are the typical installers.

Installation and wheel changes must be performed by a qualified machinist or grinding operator with the machine fully powered down and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout requirements. Always inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before mounting and perform a ring test per ANSI B11.9 or applicable grinding safety standards. Never exceed the 3600 RPM maximum speed rating marked on the wheel. Use appropriate flanges and blotters when mounting, and allow the wheel to run at operating speed in a guarded position for at least one minute before engaging the workpiece.
