The NORTON 66252939670 is a Type 1 surface grinding wheel designed for precision stock removal and finishing on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Constructed with an aluminum oxide abrasive grain bonded in a vitrified matrix, this wheel delivers consistent cut rate and form retention across extended production runs. It measures 7 inches in diameter, 1/4 inch thick, and accepts a 1-1/4 inch arbor. The 100 grit, fine-grade specification and I hardness code make it well suited for finish grinding operations where surface finish quality is a priority. Rated to 3600 RPM, it is appropriate for use on CNC cutting tool machines, cylindrical grinders, and surface grinders. Installation and dressing are performed by qualified grinding machine operators or toolroom machinists.
This wheel is intended for use on surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, and CNC cutting tool machines in toolroom, job shop, and production grinding environments. Compatible material applications include 400 series stainless steel, hard carbon steels, soft carbon steels, tool steels, aluminum, cast iron, ductile iron, and gray iron. Its fine grade and medium hardness rating suit it for operations requiring controlled material removal with minimal surface damage on both ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces.
Designed for use with surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, and CNC cutting tool machines. Suitable for grinding 400 series stainless steel, hard and soft carbon steels, tool steels, aluminum, cast iron, ductile iron, and gray iron. Fits machines with a 1-1/4 inch arbor bore.
Grinding wheel mounting and dressing must be performed by trained personnel following ANSI B11.9 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.215 standards for abrasive wheel machinery. Always inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before mounting and perform a ring test. Machine guards must be in place and the spindle speed must not exceed the wheel maximum RPM rating before starting the grinder. Never exceed the rated 3600 RPM on this wheel.
