Built to the 39C series specification, it uses a silicon carbide abrasive bonded in a vitrified matrix, producing a free-cutting action well suited to non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, and masonry surfaces. The wheel measures 6 inches in diameter by 1 inch thick with a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole, runs at a maximum of 4140 RPM, and carries an I hardness code rated as medium grade. The green-colored wheel is non-porous with no recess and no taper, making it straightforward to mount and dress. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and CNC maintenance personnel are the primary installers.
This wheel is suited for use on surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, and CNC cutting tool machines in both job-shop and production environments.
