This wheel is engineered for grinding 300 series stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, gray iron, masonry, and natural stone. Its silicon carbide composition makes it particularly effective on hard, brittle, and non-ferrous materials where aluminum oxide wheels would load up or glaze. The vitrified bond holds grit securely during aggressive passes while allowing controlled breakdown for a consistently sharp cutting face. It fits standard surface grinder spindle setups accepting a 1/2 inch arbor. The 39C Type 1 series specification is 39C100-IVMT.

Surface grinding wheels must be installed and dressed by a qualified machinist or grinding machine operator following ANSI B7.1 safety requirements for the use, care, and protection of abrasive wheels. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before each use and perform a ring test; do not mount a wheel that produces a dull thud. Confirm the machine spindle speed does not exceed the 8,120 RPM rating stamped on the wheel before operating.
